Dear art lover and savior,
Much has happened since our first Edition (Jan 2020).
I am excited to share some news starting with the exhibition of ROBOTIC-TAC, the AI-robotised fembot at the Grand Palais (Salon de Comparaison) Feb 2020. The artwork (below to the left) alludes to an overheating planet represented by a woman/machine due to exploitation. One must get closer to the artwork to see all the details.
Following was a collective exhibition entitled "Un souffle de nostalgie virtuelle" featuring a collaboration between AI, VR and Olfactory art as far as I was concerned. Featured at the 59 rue de Rivoli, until Paris succumbed to the curfew on March 2020. Visitors were able to explore AI-enhanced artworks using eyes and noses.
The lockdown has lead to many canceled exhibitions and conferences but it gave birth to an illustrated micro-novel entitled : Love in the Time of Corona (free preview)
Furthermore, my AI-post-produced experimental short A Mind Trip (2019) and the docu-fiction produced at IGC, A Short Walk between the Self and the Noneself (2019) won several selections and a couple of awards (see above) at international film festivals.
In order to engage the local citizens during lockdown and thank the nursing staff at the hospitals, I managed to collect thousands of images from locals that were turned algorithmically into a huge mosaic that was later printed and installed at the Parc Pinel, thanks to the city of Kremlin-Bicetre, where it now stands 10mx1.4m facing the Kremlin-Bicetre Hospital.
Another project engaged local artists from their homes to co-create simultaneously and is now featured at the ECHO Mediatheque with the resulting digital painting expressing the artists' lockdown experience.
Last but not least, the algorithmic and AI art exhibition, COMPOSANTS (2020) is now installed on the streets facing the new parc of Bicetre. You have the chance until Sept 13th to check out the composing ingredients of each of the 12 artworks standing 2x2m and more information on this dedicated FB event
I'd love to know more about my subscribers from time to tome, therefore I invite you to spare 30 seconds to answer these 3 questions. Nice to meet you :)
Thank you and have a wonderful summer,
Al
